Hosting a pig-roast party in southeastern PA is easier than ever thanks to the professionals at Moyer’s Catering in Boyertown and their new summer menu.

“Summer is always the most anticipated of seasons as we break from the cold winter and head for the outdoors,” said Lori Erb of Moyer’s Catering. “At Moyer’s Catering, that means it’s time for us to break out the pig roasters, change the menu over to fit the season and gear up for the outdoor parties.”

Erb noted that pig roasts have been the signature service of Moyer’s Catering from the beginning and continue to be a favorite for numerous events including corporate and graduation parties, holiday parties, family picnics, 19th-hole celebrations at golf outings, church gatherings, family reunions, neighborhood get-togethers and more. Erb recommends that interested customers call well ahead of time to lock in their desired date.

According to founder Larry Moyer, there’s a key factor that makes his pig roasts the best around. “We use good old-fashioned charcoal fire,” he said, “and you can’t hurry the process. An average pig roast takes 10 – 12 hours to cook until it’s perfect.” Moyer’s ads their potato filling, hot baked beans, sauerkraut, vegetables and more to make the ultimate delectable meal for groups of 40 and up.

In addition to the popular pig roasts, Erb stated that some new menu items have also been introduced for the 2009 summer season. “New menu items this year include chicken parmesan, stuffed flounder and garlic mashed potatoes. We’ve also added chicken barbecue as an additional option to our pork and beef barbecues.

“We specialize in providing friendly, professional and complete catered events,” Lori added. “We offer a full range of menu options to satisfy every taste and our chefs have assembled convenient party plans of our most popular menus to simplify our customer’s planning.
